Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a sauté pan, melt butter with sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sauté for 5-6 minutes until tender and fragrant, then remove from heat and cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt until combined. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes until golden brown; allow to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in heavy cream until fluffy.
  4. Layer the trifles in small jars or cups by adding graham cracker crumbs, followed by cream cheese mixture, then sautéed apples. Repeat and finish with a layer of apples.
  5. Serve chilled or slightly cool. Optional: Garnish with cinnamon or whipped cream.
