How to Make Apple Fritter Bread
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.
- Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar using an electric mixer until the mixture is fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, blending until fully combined.
- Whisk together the flour and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually mix this dry blend into the wet ingredients along with the milk.
- Toss the chopped apples with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Layer half of the batter into the greased loaf pan, followed by half of the apple mixture and half of the cinnamon-sugar mix. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool the loaf in the pan for about 20 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Glaze by combining powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread, slice it up, and serve.
