How to Make Skillet Apple Cider Chicken
- Start by coating the chicken thighs generously with your selected spices. Let them sit for a few minutes to absorb the seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken thighs and brown them on both sides until golden brown and cooked through.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add shallots and apples, stirring until softened. Pour in apple cider and let it simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, allowing it to warm and soak in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes.
- Plate the chicken and ladle the tender apples and shallots over the top. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired.
