  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional) Adjust according to taste
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch For coating chicken
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For frying chicken
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles) Cook according to package instructions
  • 2 green onions chopped For garnish
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional) For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and optional chili flakes to make the sauce.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Let it simmer until thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
Finishing
  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce and chicken.
  3. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes
