Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Method
 

  1. Heat milk, lemon zest, sugars until steaming.
  2. Whisk egg yolks and cornstarch until smooth.
  3. Temper yolks with hot milk, then return to saucepan.
  4. Whisk over medium heat until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and whisk in lemon juice and condensed milk.
  6. Pour into serving dishes and serve warm or chilled.
