Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp salt

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti until just shy of al dente.
  2. Warm olive oil in a wide pan over low heat and gently cook sliced garlic until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Add red pepper flakes to the oil and stir briefly to release their flavor.
  4. Reserve pasta water, then transfer spaghetti directly into the pan with the garlic oil.
  5. Add a splash of pasta water and toss continuously until the pasta is coated and silky.
  6. Season with salt, add parsley, toss once more, and serve immediately.
