Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless chicken, diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Cook chicken in butter until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in the same pot until softened.
  3. Stir in flour, then slowly add chicken broth while stirring.
  4. Add orzo, vegetables, and cooked chicken. Simmer until orzo is tender.
  5. Stir in milk or cream and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook briefly until creamy, then serve warm.
