  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low-sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil optional
For the Vegetables
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh
  • 2 medium carrots sliced or julienned
  • 1 medium yellow onion chopped
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce or mix soy sauce with honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced or ground
For Serving
  • 4 cups rice or noodles for serving
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped, for garnish

Preparation
  1. Cut your flank steak or sirloin into bite-sized pieces, then season generously with soy sauce and sesame oil.
  2. Slice the fresh broccoli, carrots, and onion into uniform sizes.
  3. Place the seasoned beef at the bottom of the crockpot. Layer the chopped vegetables on top, followed by minced garlic and ginger.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce with a splash of water. Pour evenly over the layered ingredients.
  5. Set your crockpot to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once done, serve your tender beef and broccoli over steamed rice or noodles. Top with chopped green onions.
