🧀 Ingredients

Casserole Base

• 2 lbs Southern-style frozen hashbrowns – shredded potatoes form the hearty base with a crispy, golden edge.
• 3 cups shredded chicken – cooked chicken breast or thigh; rotisserie chicken works perfectly.
• 1 can cream of chicken soup – adds that creamy, comforting texture.
• 2 cups sour cream – creates the signature creamy flavor (or use Greek yogurt for a lighter option).
• ⅓ cup milk – helps loosen the sauce for an ideal texture.
• 1 cup frozen peas and carrots – adds color and sweetness.
• ½ cup corn kernels – for pops of texture and flavor.
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese – melty, rich, and savory.

Topping

• 2 cups breadcrumbs or crushed crackers – for that golden, crispy top layer.
• 2 tbsp melted butter – helps toast the topping beautifully.
• Salt and pepper, to taste – essential for seasoning and balance.
